October 25th release confirmed for Pro Evolution Soccer 2

Konami of Europe has announced that the highly anticipated Pro Evolution Soccer 2 for PlayStation 2 will be released across Europe on October 25th.

Widely renowned as the definitive football by both games-players and football aficionados alike, Pro Evolution Soccer 2 has emerged as one of the most sought-after games for PlayStation 2. Following the huge success of Pro Evolution Soccer, the sequel has been improved in every way, with Konami Computer Entertainment TYO's game the most realistic and playable football title for any format, faithfully recreating all the shots, passes, through balls and volleys of the real thing.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2 also boasts players benefiting from over 25 skill factors, including attacking nature, balance, stamina, strength and shot and pass accuracy, each of which endow the players with differing abilities and playing styles. The game's extensive 'Player Create' option also allows fans to recreate their favourite players for use in the game, determining their appearance and performance using the aforementioned attributes, while also highlighting a further 19 specific key skills and abilities.

With a three division 'Master League', numerous International and club tournaments and an UMBRO-endorsed training stage, Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is the unrivalled star in the football genre.

The PSone version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2 will follow shortly afterwards.

Just played a demo of Pro 2....you only play one half of England v Brazil.
First major improvement is the sound...commentry by C4 Italian football's Peter Brackley and Trevor Brooking and its a monster improvement!!
The noise of the crowd is so atmospheric - they boo and hiss the away team when they score and also when they get a corner or free kick!!
The animation is much more fluid and life like-Rivaldo's awkward way of running and shooting is instantly recognisable.
The overall look and presentation of the game is far superior from Pro 1

Only one half played but already it looks absolutely amazing!! :D :D :D

Sorry but the commentating is poor compared to ISS2 which has excellent commentray from Jon Champion and Mark Lawrence.

This is exactly like the other game and you can hardly hear Trevor Brooking.

same here,

at least you get your 2 squid back when you buy the game!!!

I hope the commentary is improved for the real game,
they never shut up,
and a lot of blurring when you kick the ball as well.

Hi, i got Winning Eleven 6 and i've got the demo in English, Pro Evo 2 is gonna be much better than Pro evo. There's loads of differences and different stuff added. Like changing kits completely, there's about 60 different shirts, 30 diff shorts and 11 socks - but they can be changed into over 160 colours.

There's other stuff in the gameplay, but i haven't got the time at the moment to go into it. I gotta go out
