Without being familiar with your graphics card, I think your PC should run PES2008 just fine m8, judging by the rest of your specs.

I think all that slowdown will be eliminated before the game is released. Hopefully anyway, as PES5 suffered some slowdown. Dont worry about your specs m8, they are well above those of an average PC.

    Question

I've been thinking of getting PES 2008 for the PC as opposed to the PS2. My Specs are AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 768 MB RAM, GeForce 6600 128MB. Should my specs be okay? I'm not sure they will .

I think I might, just, be okay. I don't have much technical knowledge though, I'll probably end up getting the PS2 version to be on the safe side.

What have ya got buddy? we'll help you through it! Do you know anything to do with your pc parts?

try clicking on to "My Computer" and then right clicking anywhere on the screen and click properties... should have system properties there. If not, download CCleaner (it gets rid of the irrelevant stuff on your computer (not files!!)) and that tells you too!

I must say these requirements are fairly ok, although i expected perhaps a bit more grunt. Maybe they are ensuring with lower visual quality settings that more people can play it.

Thanks . I've listed more or less all the specs I can on this thread. Is there anything else I should mention but have neglected to?

okay..... i think that Pentium 4 3.0GHz /AMD Athlon 64 or better is unfair ....

i thought that cpu have no relation with game performance.....

why it is recommended to have a 3.0 GHz CPU while i have a 2.8 GHz CPU with 1 GB of RAM and 256 PCI Express VGA card ...

    Don't be afraid m8..........

this was the RECOMMENDED not minimum...

and i thinks that konami will not be so silly to made the 1GB ram also the recommended

because that will make the PC version only for those who own a Power PC ( little no. of people )

    1GB RAM
    6.5GB free memory
    8x DVD-ROM drive
    DirectX 9.0c video card

    256MB Pixel Shader 3.0 (ATI x1600 / NVidia 6800 GT/GS or better)
    DirectX 9.0c Soundcard
    DirectX 9.0c or higher
    Windows USB Gamepad
    1280 x 720 resolution

    supported chipsets

    NVIDIA - GeForce 6600, 6800, 7300, 7600, 7800, 7900, GeForce FX (5950, 5900, 5800, 5600, 5200), GeForce4 Ti, GeForce3
    ATI - Radeon x1600, x1800, x1900, x800, 9800, 9700, 9600, 9500, 9200, 9000, 8500
Those requirements make no sense. It says you need a gfx card with Pixel Shader 3.0 support and then goes on to list a load of gfx chipsets that don't support it.

It also says you need 'ATI x1600 / NVidia 6800 GT/GS or better' and then lists loads of chipsets that are way worse than those.

The chipsets list looks like they've just copied and pasted it from the PES6 requirements without actually checking whether any of them will actually still work.
