I think the penalty system should be changed.

I would like to see longer run ups (in real every player starts outside the box, with view exeptions) and the chip penalty should be introduced.

The penalty system is now bit flashy and i agree with that broadcast view. that goalkeeper view in pes 2008 is bad.

Yes

anything to get rid of the hideous set up in this years game.
I understand their trying new things, but I was well baffled, when I conceded
my first penalty, and it was from such a view, bring back the old ways.

I have to say No actually.

This isn't what PES penalties need in my opinion. They need to be improved alot when it comes to the basic dynamics of how you aim, and how the goalkeeper can move and react to the shots.
But changing the camera that much wouldn't be beneficial since you get a distorted view, and analog aiming (which I think should be inputed pronto) would become alot harder since the perspective is angled.

Also, the person controlling the goalkeeper would have a hard time discerning what way the ball actually goes. So if the goalkeepers are improved to allow moving around, and also jumping after the kick has been taken, then this wouldn't be a viable solution.

And, the camera view in your example video (from Liverpool - Chelsea) is very angled, and not alot of people play with a normal match camera that angled. Which means that either the normal camera would show alot less of the goalmouth, making it impossible to judge where the kick is going for the goalkeeper, or you would need to rotate the camera from the "wide goalmouth" position when taking the penalty, to the normal position which is more from the side and not so angled. So it wouldn't be possible to use the exact same match camera for match play and penalties in most people's cases. Hope it makes sense.

I would rather see a perspective like today, behind the shooter, but more like this:

In other words, higher up and further away (maybe a bit more zoomed in than this, but you get the idea).
Then, after the penalty is taken, the camera would quickly rotate and move into the "normal match position" (possibly accompanied with some slowmotion of the pitch action, or even stopping completely just to make sure that valuable time isn't wasted when the camera moves from penalty angle to match angle.
And besides, Penalty shootouts frequently use the angle in the picture I linked to above aswell. So it would still be authentic.

Hope I explained enough why I voted no. Not a bad suggestion by any means, but it clashes a bit with my own ideal of what the penalties should be like.

it appears you may not have fully understood or grasped my suggestion, if you read my first post clearly you will notice i said the penalty kick should be decieded in the normal behind player back view, but once you decided where to place the ball, the keeper knows where to dive, the game should snap the camera to your gameplay position, so basically all thats happening is your watching the results of the penalty in a different view, your not actually taking it in that view, hope that cleared things up.
