Sourced News Konami's PES2008 PS3 'stuttering' solution

Just got this through on the email.
Pretty sure you're all aware of this problem by now, this is Konami's temporary solution to it

Quote:
Konami Digital Entertainment is aware that some players of PES2008 are experiencing “stuttering” by their machine when playing on PS3. (This does not occur on other formats). After checking the matter we have found that the problem is primarily taking place where the user is not playing the game in high definition.

The solution to this problem is to play the game on an HD TV (high definition screen) with an HDMI or component cable and the PS3 set to output in 720p resolution or above. This should prevent the problem and allow the player to enjoy the full HD experience provided by their PlayStation 3.

Please note: to achieve high definition it is necessary to use HDMI or component cables instead of the AV (composite) cable supplied with the PS3.

We are continuing to work on finding a solution for those people who do not have access to an HD TV.

In the meantime Konami would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused

THEY'RE WRONG!

Most people with HDMI and HD TVs experience the stuttering.

Their solution for me to enjoy the game is to play on an HD TV? So I expect they will be giving me around £500 to buy one then?

Is that really the best they can do in two weeks? I thought that they'd at least blame it on the boogie

It would have been helpful for Konami to tell people this information before they spent money on the game that they now cant play without having a seizure

Mark, stop moaning, they gave you a HD TV already and you sold it

Balls. Have a HDTV, Sony Bravia to be exact, and there is still stutering.Ok its not too bad, but it happens when the ball is in a crowded area and the replays are borderline unwatchable.

This is not a solution, It's a blag

LOL...

was on mates PS3 last night (between watching the champions league)
my god...the game is is totlay ruined and looks awfull in non hd!
(it was on a crt wide screen tv)

but how outragious is that telling your loyal PES gamers that you need an HDTV just so that the game runs properly!!!
and at that...the game STILL runs poorly on an HDTV!!!...
SONY and KONAMI must have their hands on each others (whistles)...

same TV...same console....you put in another game...
FIFA...F1...dirt...
looks fine...runs fine...
Why does PES not look as good or run as well as ANY other game on a non HDTV ?!!??!

words to not describe how KONAMI are taking the ultimate (whistle) out us!
man...i have lost what little respect i had for PES and konami!...
KONAMI are gona need to pull a nuclear bomb out the hat for PES2009!!!
thats the only way they are gona save what little fans they have left after the constent disapointments from them!

It doesnt fix the problem, it helps, but it doesnt fix

Konami are just clutching at straws by the sounds of it in an attempt to stop the flow of complaints

They're just gonna make people more angry.

If I went out and spent however much money buying an HDTV under the impression that I'd get a flawless PES experience out of it, only to find that it was a bit better but still nowhere near flawless I'd be fuming.

I think the technical term for this is that it's a doozy.

So I have an old SD tv and have very little problems whilst others have the 'perfect' set up and they are finding it almost unplayable.

This statement sounds like Konami are having a laugh at us! They clearly haven't been listening. No surprise there then.
