New PS3 patch now out! - PESFan

As some of you have noticed by now, a new patch has been released for the PS3 version of PES

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbC has released an update for PES 2008 on PLAYSTATION®3 that will solve compatibility issues when it is played on a standard-definition TV set. The free download fixes the slight stuttering effect that occurs when the game is played on a non HD source, and will be downloaded automatically when the game is played online.

Doesn't mention anything about online play so some of you may still be disappointed.

grass seems to look better but online play is still rubbish!!

edit: Offline plays alot better! And many things as crowd and replays look better, Nice! Only thing to fix is online play!

It's poor. Online has gone worse if you ask me, just played twice then and it's just as bad in one game it was one of the worst I've ever played.

Pathetic, I'm starting to give up with PES now.

Guys i've noticed that if you connect it by wire its much better than wireless i rarely have teleports or horrific lag, but i play only against people with 2 or 3 bars.

no it is not down to that its down to what nat type you have if you go to test internet connection on your ps3 then while it is checking there should be the words at the bottem of the screen saying NAT TYPE if it says NAT TYPE 3 then you are a lagger because your connection is firewalled and prevents online play from working properly what you need is NAT TYPE 2 this will improve your online gameplay ten fold so after you have read this if you have NAT TYPE 3 then type in NAT TYPE 2 ON ANY SEARCH ENGINE IE YAHOO and in the search field the should be and explaination on youtube some yank saying how you change your nat type. hope this helps

Slight stuttering on SDTV. they are joking. Crap stuttering on HDTV and slowdown. Offline let alone online. I will download and see.

Just downloaded and offline works like a dream. 100% - even replays are clear. Good work Konami.

Can any one confirm if this now makes replays stutter free and smooth on HD tv's. Cheers

Your not wrong about the NAT types but he is right when he says wired has less lag than wireless. Common knowledge. Wired provide faster speeds meaning a lot less lag.
