PS3: Files not showing up - "no titles to copy"

    Hi

I've got a problem installing option files. I've done it succesfully last year, but this year something's just wrong, and I don't know what.

I've downloaded LiamKenyon's option file and unzipped it with WinRAR.

Then I get a folder PS3 containing a folder SAVEDATA. So far, so good.

When I open the SAVEDATA folder it contains 72 folders (I don't remember this from last year, is this how it's supposed to look?).
The folders are named like this (just a few examples):
    _CPY_2009102321085900941630
    BLES00688EEDIT
    BLES00688EOPTION
    BLES00688EUNIFORM001
    BLES00688EUNIFORM068

Anyway, when I open those folders they all contain 4 files.
    DATA.BIN
    ICON0.PNG
    PARAM.PFD
    PARAM.SFO

Oh well, I copied the PS3 folder to my usb and plugged it into my PS3.

I then opened the usb on my PS3, found the PS3 folder and the SAVEDATA folder and the 72 folders in the SAVEDATA folder, but when I open one of the 72 folders the PS3 says that the folders don't contain any titles. When I try to copy it says that there are no titles to copy.

I've tried Rosh's option file and it's pretty much the same.

    Thanks
    -Rune

Are you going 'Game > Saved Data Utility > Your USB stick'? You shouldn't see any of the folders on the PS3.

    You're completely right Aaron!

I feel a bit stupid now

Apparently it matters where on your PS3 you access the USB-stick.

You have to go into the game menu and then Saved Data Utility to access the files you need.

I was in the Music menu....

There are also jpg's on my USB stick and I can usually open them, so I was wondering what was wrong since I couldn't see the pictures. Now I know, if I want to view pictures, the music menu's not the right place to be.

you have to make a folder called 'PS3' on your pc, then but the option file save data into it, then but onto your memory stick, then plug the stick into your ps3 then go to 'Game > Saved Data Utility > Your USB stick' then copy all files from your stick to your save data utility folder ( where all your saved games are located!.

    hope this helps
