    Team Import / Export

A new feature in edit mode which will come in handy for custom option files

PES 2012 allows users to import and export individual teams, so user A could create his local team and share it with his friend, user B, without user B having to change his entire option file. The game also gives the option to only import certain elements, like the emblem and kits but not the player data.

I gave it a quick test this morning, and I'll try and explain it the best I can When you select export it asks you to select which team data you want to export, you then save it to a slot. There are 20 slots in total, and each individual export is saved to it's own file. On the 360, they're called 'TM_EXPORT01.bin' and so on.

Once exported, I tried to import my team over another existing PES team in the fake league.

As you can see, it's recorded the emblem, kits and player data.
Before proceeding with the next step, the game warns that a number of players will be moved from other teams if you select to import the player data as well. At this screen you can select to only import the kits/emblems, or you can continue with the full import.

The game lists the players that will need to be transferred. Selecting the bottom option gives you a breakdown of who will be overwritten when the import takes place

Blurry, but you get the idea You can select an individual player and choose to import over a blank 'Created Player' if you so wish instead.

After finishing with the player data, the kits are then imported and saved automatically into the next available slots.

And that's all there is too it. The process only takes a minute or two, and should help option file makers and those wanting to create their own custom file

Nice find and great explanation. I wish I had seen this before loading my prequel data. LOL!

On the bright side, you can import images. 360 users have to use the camera, or draw them pixel by pixel

I'm hoping this will increase the number of quality 360 files available. If people worked together, entire leagues could be done quite quickly.

    .

    The question is...
Can stuff in your PES11 OF...be transferred over to PES12?

Or Can you only import/export stuff from PES12 to PES12?

    Can you? That is quality!

The 360 has always been a bit fiddly when it comes to editing, but this is great if it is true. Should/could get a team index going.

To get data from PES 2011, you would need to do an 'Import Prequel Data' to import it into a PES 2012 file first. You could then use the import/export option

Now, does the leagues and teams follow the same structure as PES11?
I have imported prequel data before and always turns out to be a mess...lol

the team that was originally edited in the previous version, does not always update the same team in the newer version...

Just need to find 40 from some where to get the game now!...lol

I've only used the feature with my files, which don't mess about with any of the default teams or Div 2 teams so I haven't encountered any funny business with teams switching about

For example, if someone has created Norwich in PES 2011 over a team in Div 2 then they should import over the same team in PES 2012, effectively giving you 2 Norwichs? But I'm not 100% sure about that.

No harm in trying it out I guess. If it messes up, just delete the option file off your hard drive and start again

    Just to check on this.

Say I save over Winning Eleven United and create a Classic Liverpool team. I then want to share that with someone. Can they overwrite any team in their game? Or, does it overwrite WE United on their game?

You can import over any team. It might become a little messy when importing the players, but if you manually choose who you want to overwrite it should work out fine.
