I will sort it out when I know that I have an option file worth getting.
    Anything you recommend?
The debate goes on about referees who haven't played the game at this level

I really miss the good old days of PES 5 and 6 when the Goal Gallery and GOTM forums were busy places, full of amazing videos and helpful discussions about how to score crackers. Now they're like morgues.

    1. Download the PES6 editor
    http://www.purplehaze.eclipse.co.uk/downloads.html
    2. Open any PS2 OF
    3. Click on File, then Open OF2 and select the one you want to convert
    4. Click on Tools, then Convert OF2>OF1
    5. Then just save as whatever. I think you might need the .max at the end too.

    Hope that helps

I really do think this is the best football game ever made. Not just for it's time, even now.

I'll never forget the huge disappointment of playing PES2008. Up until then I'd owned PES1-6 and thought that generally each version was an improvement on the last. PES2008 was the only one where I actually thought it had gone backwards. And if I remember correctly, it didn't work on Xbox Live properly

I love playing online with PES6, especially when you ended up playing people who didn't just pick Inter or Brazil. I picked Fiorentina a lot and found that if you tweaked things round a bit, Adrian Mutu and Luca Toni were a fantastic partnership up front.

After PES I drifted over to FIFA which hugely improved. But whilst for me FIFA has outplayed PES every year since, it just doesn't have the same magic that the old PES's had.

    Shame

Bit of a surprise on Wepes-Upgrade. Seems someone worked hard on a Pes6 update!

Haven't tried out the option file yet. I'm still definitely a PES6 disciple. As many have said, it is just more *fun* and still is. Yes the graphics are now a bit dated and pants, but when I am bangin' goals in it just doesn't seem to matter. I really love the pace of the game.
