It could work if it's one of the games that can be transferred from your PS3 to your PS Vita like the link you provided describes. I am not sure about that though. I got it to work by modding my vita (or jail breaking it with henkaku) and then installing Adrenaline which is a psp emulator for the ps vita. That enables you to play pretty much all psp games on your ps vita. But you can't get it installed unless your vita is running 3.60 firmware. Anything higher won't work. And your vita also needs to have a psp/ps vita game (or demo) installed. That game gets used as a base for Adrenaline. So in other words the game gets converted into the Adrenaline bubble. If you're thinking about going out and buying a ps vita with 3.60 firmware just for this specifically, you should know that the seller will probably want to restore their vita to wipe their info off of it before selling it to you. So bear in mind that restoring a vita will automatically update it to the latest firmware. So you need to restore it using safe mode, because then it won't auto-update. It'd be ideal of you find someone who has a psp/ ps vita game installed on their vita and iswilling to sell it without restoring it. Because then all you'd need is to install Adrenaline (Following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgiKDo3G3oE and you'd be all set). But chances are the seller will want to restore it. Just make sure they restore it in safe mode so it keeps the 3.60 firmware. But then you need to understand that after it gets restored, the vita will no longer be activated, which means you won't be able to download a psp/ ps vita game to use for Adrenaline. You will see that every time you try to go into the ps store it will ask you to update the vita. And you don't wanna do that. So then what you'd need is a PS3 console to link up your vita to following those steps below. And then transfer a psp/ psp game (such as Locoroco Midnight Carnival demo) and that will both activate your vita and get the psp/ ps vita game on there which you can use for Adrenaline. Not an easy task. But the rewards are well worth it. You would be able to play any psp game on your vita. Here are the steps for linking your vita to ps3 console and transferring the psp/ ps vita demo.

    1. First of all, check that your Vita is linked with a PSN account. You can do this By going to Settings then PSN.

    2. If your Vita isn't linked with a PSN account, then proceed to step 3. If it is, then go to step 4.

3a. Reboot your vita into safe mode. (Shut down, then "PS Button + Power Button + R Button all held down").

3b. Choose "Restore the PS Vita System". The proceed to link your PSN account through the setup process.

    4. When all ready, Boot up your PS3. Make sure no apps are running on there! (Also make sure your PS3 has PS Store access and the same PSN account as you used to link your Vita with.)

    5. Back on your Vita, connect the USB cable to your PC and start QCMA. When your Vita is successfully recognised and ready to transfer stuff, disconnect the cable and DON'T

CLICK OFF OF THE ERROR MESSAGE! (the one that says your device has been disconnected)

    6. Connect your Vita to the PS3 and wait for the prompt on your PS3 to appear. Now click off of the error message on your Vita and click on the "PS3" connection option.

    7. Now it should bypass the update nag! Now transfer any content from your PS3 to your Vita to automatically activate it, and you should be good to go!!

FYI, For those unfamiliar with QCMA, it is an alternate program to content manager that allows your non-updated vita (running 3.60) to talk with your PC. Google it for more info.

Not sure if that was ever an option for this particular game. And if it was back then, not sure if it still works today.
