Just place it low in one of the corners

tbh it sounds like you're not doing too bad scoring 4/10. Maybe aim to slightly improve that but not much. In real life i doubt a strikers one on one stats would be much better than that. And PES is not as realistic in those situations anyway, you only really get one chance at a one on one as the COM teams always defend ridiculously deep and tend to be able to run twice as fast as your players over ten yards. So if it comes back off the keeper half their team are usually there by then to clear up.

Try slotting it low either side of the keeper. If you're far out (edge of the area) i would double tap and lob him instead.

I score practically every time I get a one on one. Either do the feint to shoot and then go round the keeper and tap it in the empty net or lob him.

Do you play PC or ps2 version welshie? I played ps2 recently and it's much easier to score as the power bar fills up at about half the speed it does on the pc version. Same with long balls using . I find them pretty much impossible on PC as they just get punted out of play all the time. Hopefully the controller issues will be cleared up for PC PES4.......

Never had a problem beating the CPU in PES3 as the gameplay is sadly completely one dimensional, but i was surprised at the difference in 'feel' when playing ps2. Much more control over your players than the pc version.

It's definitely not the setup of my pc or gamepad (use ps2 pad via USB converter) as the pc copes comofortably with Doom3 and FarCry and the gamepad is spot on in GTA, NFS Underground and Prince of Persia. And in FIFA i may add, though i guess they have a lot more experience of creating PC games than Konami do.....

Go at an angle to the keeper then shoot and it always goes in

I either put almost max power into the shot an R2 it.. or run round the keeper (almost always works if you approach at an angle.. at worst you get a PK for getting taken out but the goalie always seems to get away with a yellow!

EDIT: didn't realise this was bumped from 4 years ago
